Eero Lehmann

Eero Lehmann ( born May 17, 1974 in Dusseldorf ) is a former German fencer who was in 2000 as a replacement when winning the Olympic bronze medal with the saber team here.

Eero Lehmann started for FC Tauberbischofsheim. In 1997 he won the German championship with the saber in the World Fencing Championships 1997 in Cape Town, he finished with the German team to fifth place in the following year at the World Fencing Championships 1998 in Chaux -de-Fonds was the team's sixth, finished at the European Championships 1998 team to seventh place. Reached in 1999 Lehmann in the individual competition at the World Fencing Championship 1999 in Seoul Square 22 At the European Championships in 1999 Lehmann in 15th place in the individual standings and was with the team in fourth. At the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney Lehmann eliminated in the singles competition against his teammates Wiradech Kothny. In the team competition Lehmann was not used, as Dennis Bauer, Wiradech Kothny and Alexander Weber won bronze and thus the first Olympic medal German saber fencer since 1936.
