ef (Band)
Ef is a post-rock band from Gothenburg, Sweden, was founded in 2003. Originally started as a hardcore project, the band developed later by the addition of Niklas Åström on to a post-rock project. The most important factors for this development Tomas Torsson and Daniel Öhman denote the bands Mogwai and Sigur Rós. The band name ef is composed of the initial letters of the name of their former hardcore band together. The music of ef is usually exclusively instrumental, where the guitars are always in the foreground. However, the music is sometimes supplemented with vocals, or with exotic instruments such as a melodica or an electric cello.
The band released in the first three years of band history four demos on CD -R before their first 7 "single A Trilogy Of Dreams, Noise And Silence on the independent label " published in November 2005 Jezebel Recordings ". In October and November 2005, they contested their first European tour with 16 concerts. 2006 followed the first studio album Give Me Beauty ... Or Give Me Death!, Which was released on the Swedish record label " And The Sound Records ", further signed a contract with the Japanese record label " Thomason Sounds" album release. 2008 was followed by the EP Hello Scotland Remixed on " And The Sound Records ", limited to 300 pieces, and the new studio album I Am Responsible on " And The Sound Records " and " Thomason Sounds". In 2010 she published Mourning Golden Morning, again via " And The Sound Records " and LP on the German record label " Captain plate ".
