Efes Pilsen was founded in Turkey in 1969 and has 14 breweries in Turkey, Russia, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Georgia and Serbia. The name was borrowed from the city of Ephesus, located near the first Efes Brewery in İzmir. The most famous brand of beer the brewery is Efes Pilsen. It is by far the best beer produced in Turkey, which is exported to over 50 countries (including to Germany, Austria and Switzerland ), and thus one of the ten beers meistimportierten Europe.

The beer has an alcohol content of 4.9%. Efes Pilsen has six other varieties: Efes Dark, Efes Light (with few calories ), Efes Ice ( eisgebraut ), Efes Xtra ( high alcohol content), Efes Gusta (wheat beer ) and Mariachi and Mariachi Black with lemon and Agavenaromen. Furthermore, there is still the second ( specialty ) Brand Marmara in the strong beer variant Marmara Kirmizi (red) and Marmara as gold, as well as various non-alcoholic beverages such as Dosenmalzgetränk Ritmix, which is produced in different flavor variations.

Since March 2005, Foster's is brewed in Turkey by Efes and marketed. Other trademarks are the Beck's (2002) and Miller Genuine Draft ( 2000). On 16 February 2010, the Einbecker Brauhaus AG brewing and a wage contract with Anadolu Efes the Group Biracılık ve Malt Sanayii A.Ş. signed.
