John Williamson (CEO)

EFG International is a global Swiss private banking group with headquarters in Zurich. Its field of action is the private banking and asset management. It was established in 1995 and serves as the parent company for the undertaken under its umbrella private banks, among whom was founded as the first EFG Bank is located in Zurich.

The company is represented at 30 locations and employs around 2,000 staff, of which 414 client advisors. At the end of 2012, EFG International had consolidated total assets of 23.626 billion Swiss francs. Assets under management amounted to 79.5 billion Swiss francs.

Ownership

The EFG International shares are listed on the Swiss Exchange SIX Swiss Exchange. Main shareholder with a share of 56 percent, the Geneva-based EFG Bank European Financial Group SA. This in turn is wholly owned by the resident in Luxembourg and by the Greek Latsis family controlled EFG Group. The other major shareholders of EFG International include former CEO Lonnie Howell and the family of the Board President Jean Pierre Cuoni. The remaining shares are held by executives of EFG International as well as other shareholders.
