Egbert van Heemskerck

Egbert van Heemskerk II, the Younger (. Well Egbert van Heemskerk Jaspersz; * to 1634/1635 or 1645 in Haarlem, † 1704 in London) was a Dutch painter of peasants, genre painter and draftsman. He was a pupil of Pieter Fransz. de Grebber, but painted in the style of his father Egbert van Heemskerk I and Brouwers.

He settled early on to London, where his art rich recognition was, and where he died in 1704. In his choice of materials, he joined all of Teniers at by some tavern scenes and rural pleasures, partly temptations of St. Anthony, witches meetings and similar Spukszenen painted.
