Egil Kapstad

Egil Kapstad ( born August 6 1940) is a Norwegian jazz pianist and composer.

Cape Town became known in the early 1960s as a member of Frode Thingnaes ' quintet. From 1962 to 1964 he led his own trio, he worked beside mt Karin Krog. 1964-1965 he was a member of Bjørn Johansen Quartet and Orchestra joined with Thor Leif Østerengs on.

In 1965, he studied counterpoint, harmony, and twelve-tone technique with Bjørn Fongård and instrumentation with Sigurd mountains. In 1967 Syner, his first album as a leader.
