Geography

The town lies on the north bank of the Rhine ( Rhine km 74.4 ) near the German border. At Eglisau include the districts Seglingen and Tössriederen. Although only a little more than 4900 inhabitants in the municipality Eglisau keep the old, acquired in the medieval town law.

History

Churches

In Eglisau there are two churches:
