Église de la Madeleine (Aix-en-Provence)

The Église de la Madeleine is a Magdalene Church in southern France Aix -en- Provence. It is located in the old town at the Place des Prêcheurs and was formerly part of a Dominican monastery. The church is best known as the site for the Annunciation Triptych of Aix.

The building of the baroque church was built around 1700 with the involvement of Gothic elements. The church facade was built in the 19th century.

1839 Paul Cézanne was baptized in the church.

Works of art

In the left aisle of the church, the Annunciation of Aix, which is considered the important work of the school of Avignon depends.
