Egon Erwin Kisch Prize

The Egon Erwin Kisch Prize in 1977, founded by Henri Nannen, founder of the magazine Stern. The price should promote the journalistic quality of reports in the German press (especially in the print media). The selection was done in the spirit of the formulated by Egon Erwin Kisch and cited in the preamble to the Constitution claim " Write that down, Kisch ".

2005, the price went up in the category reportage of the newly created Henri Nannen price.

Regulations and jury

The prize was awarded once a year and was EUR 10,000 for first place, worth 7,500 euros for the second and EUR 5,000 for third place.

At the last date of award of the Kisch Prize in 2004, the jury included, inter alia, to: Giovanni di Lorenzo (then Der Tagesspiegel ), Andreas Petzold (star ), Peter Sartorius ( Author), Iris Radisch ( The Time), Cordt Schnibben (Der Spiegel ), Hermann Schreiber ( journalist) and Jutta Voigt (Author ).
