Egon Vaupel

Egon Vaupel (* November 15, 1950 in Schlierbach, community bathroom Endbach, Hesse ) is a German politician ( SPD).

Life

Vaupel completed post-high school in Dillenburg training as a wholesale merchant, and was there until 1974 as a clerk in the industries. From 1975 he worked at various locations for the Hessian financial management.

Since 1997, Vaupel was mayor of the city of Marburg. He was elected with 52.5 percent of the valid votes in the first ballot for mayor of the city of Marburg in 2005 and took office as the successor to Dietrich Möller on 1 July 2005. In 2011 he was confirmed with 59.3 percent in the first ballot for another six years in office.

2012 Vaupel was on the suggestion of his party member of the 15th Federal Assembly.
