The EHC Visp is a Swiss ice hockey club from Visp, whose first team under the leadership of EHC Visp Sports AG B plays in the National League.

History

The club was founded in 1939 ( an original association, which was founded in 1930, went in 1933 for debt of 300 francs in bankruptcy ) ascended and is in the seasons 1959/60 in the National League A, could there establish more than 10 years. Season 2006/ 07

Under head coach Kevin Ryan of EHC Visp won a lot of the home games: the Upper Valais lost only one home game after 60 minutes and two in extra time. Season 2008/ 09

Litternahalle Hall

Closely linked with the history of the EHC Visp is also the Litternahalle - hall, in which the EHC Visp plays its home games. In 1978, the last game of the EHC Visp took place on the ice under the open sky. Since that is played in the built in 1979 Litternahalle Hall. The ice rink, which is in the middle of a residential neighborhood, is also home to a small bistro and offers 4,300 spectators. Next to it is another smaller ice rink, which uses the curling club.

In the ice-free period, the Litternahalle hall is also used for various exhibitions and cultural events such as concerts.
