Ehrenberg, Thuringia

Ehrenberg is a municipality in the district of Hildburghausen in Thuringia. It belongs to the administrative community Feldstein. The administrative headquarters are in the town Themar.

Location

Ehrenberg is located southeast of the monastery Veßra on an inclined westward higher plateau on the southern foothills of the lock. These are forested east. Transport default, the location is connected via the leading past the Schleusetal country road in 1625.

History

The first mention of the town was made in 1141. A district the ruins of the Sanctuary of St. Ottilia is.
