Ehsan Lashgari

Ehsan Naser Lashgari ( born August 30, 1985 in Qazvin ) is an Iranian wrestler. He won a bronze medal in the free style in the middleweight division at the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

Career

Ehsan Lashgari belongs to the " Takhti " wrestler Club Qazvin. He is a late starter because he started at the age of 17 years in 2002 with the rings. He focuses on the free style. His coach is Reza Hosseini. At a size of 1.78 meters, it is a stocky and very powerful wrestler in the middleweight division ( weight category up to 84 kg body weight).

In international tournaments he struggles since the year 2008. 2009 he was in Pattaya for the first time Asian champion at middleweight before Lee Jae -sung of South Korea. This title he successfully defended in 2010 in New Delhi. He won there before Semyon Semyonov from Kazakhstan, Shinya Matsumoto from Japan and Zhang Feng from China. In the same year he also took a first part of a World Cup. But he lost his first fight in Moscow equal to Gheorghita Stefan from Romania. Since this did not reach the final, he was eliminated and only came on the 18th Place.

In 2012 he won in Gumi / South Korea for the third time in a row, the Asian champion middleweight title against Lee Jae -sung, Naoki Momma, Japan and Yusup Abdusalamow, Tajikistan. Then he qualified at a tournament in Astana with a victory against Sajurbek Sochijew from Uzbekistan for participation in the Olympic Games in London. In London, he triumphed over Yerlan Baidujaschow, Kazakhstan, Gadschimurad Nurmagomedow, Armenia and Anzor Urischew, the Russian masters. In the semifinals, he lost to the reigning World Champion Sharif Scharifow from Azerbaijan with 1:2 extremely rounds at 3:3 techn.Punkten. Scharifow was then also Olympic champion and Ehsan Lashgari secured in the consolation round with a victory over Ibrahim Bolukbasi from Turkey still an Olympic bronze medal.
