Eichenberg, Saale-Holzland

Eichenberg is a municipality in the southern part of the Thuringian Saale- wood - country circuit and part of the joint management Southern Saale valley. The municipality comprises the villages of Eichenberg Eichenberg, Tue cities to have small Bucharest and the advanced district Dehnamühle.

History

The place Eichenberg, situated on a high plateau of the Ilm -Saale- plate was first mentioned in documents 1083/1084.

Once led by Eichenberg coming from the north and northwest, Old Quarters, the Saale crossed at Großeutersdorf. The former existence of the streets was probably the cause of the importance of the high plateau. It settlers sites and grave mounds were found in parcel grove of the plateau.

Since the late Middle Ages, there was a manor in the village. 1923 Emil Schleip was tenant of the 307 acre estate. According to the development in the Soviet Zone of the operation was handed over after the Second World War and new farmers resettled.
