Gauge field ( to 1964 Unterrakitsch ) is a municipality with 886 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in Styria. It is located in the judicial district of Bad Radkersburg or district Südoststeiermark. On January 1, 2015, is joined in the Styrian municipality structural reform with the communities Mureck and Gosdorf, the new community will continue the name Mureck.

Geography

Gauge field is located north of Mureck along Route 208 in the lower Mur Valley in Styria South East district in the Austrian state of Styria.

Neighboring communities

History

The abolition of the feudal domain of the Counts of Stürgkh was 1848., The local congregations under and Oberrakitsch and grove village Brunnsee emerged in 1850 as autonomous bodies. After the end of World War II, there were clashes with the Ljubljana " National Government for Slovenia and Istria " on the membership of the territory. After the annexation of Austria in 1938, the community came to Reichsgau Styria, 1945-1955, she was part of the British zone of occupation in Austria. In 1968 (the former Unterrakitsch ) Oberrakitsch and grove village Brunnsee merged the greater community gauge field gauge field.

Coat of arms

The award of the municipality coat of arms came into effect on 1 January 1965. Blazon: "In a slightly left of silver and green divided shield a green oak leaf with two acorns in natural upper, a gold single-edged plow in the lower field. "

Regular events

  • Wake-up call: The cultivated in Mureck since 1954 wake-up call on May 1, the borderland Trachtenkapelle Mureck also takes place in Gosdorf since 2012.
