Calibration city is an impact crater on the far western edge of the moon in front of the mountain range of the Montes Cordillera, north of the crater Krasnov and south-west of Darwin. The rim is hardly eroded, has pronounced terracing and inside there is a split Massif Central.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 by German physician and astronomer Lorenz Eichstaedt.
