Eigil Bryld

Eigil Bryld (born 1971 ) is a Danish cinematographer.

Life

Eigil Bryld grew up in Denmark. In 1992, he earned a degree in film and video production at Coleg Gwent in Wales. He then moved to London, where he worked as a camera assistant. His first feature film as a cinematographer was published in 1996 and directed by Anders Rønnow Klarlund Danish drama One Day in May. Since then he has made several international films, including in Denmark, Great Britain and the United States. For his work on Wisconsin Death Trip 2001 he was awarded a BAFTA TV Award. A nomination for the Danish Film Award Robert 2003 he received Best Cinematography for his work on Charlie Butterfly. In 2010 he was nominated for the first time with A Life for the death for an Emmy in 2013 he was awarded for his camera work in House of Cards Emmy.

Bryld is married to the Danish author Naja Marie Aidt, with the since 2003, he has a son.
