Eike Christian Hirsch

Eike Christian Hirsch ( born April 6, 1937 in Bilthoven, Netherlands ) is a German journalist and writer.

Life

Eike Christian Hirsch studied theology and philosophy in Göttingen, Heidelberg and Basel, in Basel, especially in Karl Barth, who during his formative years. He received his doctorate in Heidelberg on Kant's remarks to the Christian religion. By 1996 he was managing editor ( "Religion and Society" ) on the radio of the NDR and is now a freelance writer. He has books on issues of faith and to the German language as well as written a highly acclaimed biography of Leibniz ( " The famous Mr. Leibniz ", 2000).

As a radio -author was particularly interested in the discussion of the Christian faith with science and atheism. In the eighties, was deer moderator of the television talk show from Radio Bremen, III became known after 9 Very Eike Christian Hirsch 1975, when the "star" began to publish his speech glosses " German for alls ". They combine language observation with wit and satire, and so coined a new style of infotainment. Hirsch got for his interpretation of the comic ( " The Witzableiter " ) in 1986 the Kassel Literary Prize for Grotesque Humor.
