Eileen Power

Eileen Edna Le Poer Power, married Postan, ( born January 9, 1889 in Altrincham, Cheshire; † August 8, 1940 in London) was a British economic historian. It was in 1931 Professor of Economic History at the London School of Economics, where she worked since 1921, and in 1940 Professor of Economic History at the University of Cambridge. She founded in 1927 the journal Economic History Review.

Together with E. Denison Ross she published the collection of important travel books and exploring The Broadway Travellers.
