The Samtgemeinde Eilsen is an association of municipalities of the district of Schaumburg, in Lower Saxony, based in Bad Eilsen.

Geography

The area of the velvet municipality is located north of the Weser mountain range in the city triangle Biickeburg - Upper church - Rinteln.

The integrated municipality covers since March 1, 1974 ( founding year) following five municipalities:

Samtgemeinde Mayor

Mayor of Samtgemeinde Eilsen is Bernd Schönemann (independent). He could with 60.6 % of the votes to prevail at the municipal election on September 10, 2006 compared to the SPD's candidate, Oliver Keller. His term ends in 2014. Elections will take place on 25 May 2014.

Finances
