Eirik Kvalfoss

Eirik Kvalfoss ( born December 25, 1959 in Voss ) is a former Norwegian biathlete. He was up in the 1990s as the best Norwegian biathlete and was one of the most successful athletes of his time.

In 1984, he won three medals in three competitions, including a gold medal in the sprint at the Olympic Games in Sarajevo. Between 1982 and 1991 he became world champion three times, most notably in his special race, the sprint. Overall, he won nine individual medals as well as several relay medals. In 1989 Kvalfoss could also be the first non- German, decide the Biathlon World Cup in itself.

In 1983 he won the gold medal Morgenbladet, 1984, the election of Norway Athlete of the Year as well as the Fearnleys olympiske ærespris.

Today Kvalfoss promotes the national talent.
