Eisenbach

Eisenbach ( Black Forest ) is a health resort in the east of the district of Breisgau in the Black Forest in Baden- Württemberg.

Geography

The boundaries of the municipality lies at an altitude 800-1130 m above sea level. NN. in Bregtal, one of the headwaters of the Danube.

Community structure

The community Eisenbach ( Black Forest ) consists of the formerly independent municipalities boys Bach, Eisenbach, Oberbränd and Schollach. For the former municipality of the village boys boys Bach Bach and the living spaces include cross Dobel ( Josengäßle ) Rappenloch, Black Cross pub and stone Gremmen. The former municipalities of Eisenbach and Oberbränd only consist of the villages of the same name. For the former municipality Schollach includes the hamlet Mittelschollach, the tines Felsental - Blessinghof, Hinterschollach, Süßenbach and Unterschollach. In the territory of the former municipality Schollach a village is set in the sense of Baden-Württemberg municipal code with private Ortschaftsrat and mayor as its chairman.

History

Eisenbach owes its name to the limonite, which was mined from 1478 to 1942, with interruptions here. In the 18th century the craft of watchmaking came on, which developed into an important industrial iron Bacher towns in the 19th century. Incorporations

On November 1, 1972, the former municipalities of Eisenbach, Jacks creek and Oberbränd merged to form the new municipality Eisenbach. The community Schollach was incorporated on 1 January 1975 and renamed the church in Eisenbach ( Black Forest ).

Economy and infrastructure

Tourism also plays in a recognized health resort community an economic role (2007: 700 beds, 40,000 overnight stays per year ).
