Eitel Cantoni

Eitel " Danilo " Cantoni ( born October 4, 1906 in Montevideo, † June 6, 1997 ) was a racing driver from Uruguay.

Eitel Cantoni was one of many South Americans who came late 1940s and early 1950s to Europe. 1952, according to a fifth place at the Grand Prix of Buenos Aires, Cantoni founded the Escuderia Bandeirantes. For this race team also drove Gino Bianco and Chico Landi

The Escuderia familiar to racing cars in the Maserati brand. Cantoni itself was three rounds of the 1952 World Cup at the start. He made his debut at the Grand Prix of Great Britain at Silverstone on a Maserati A6GCM. After a brake job he had to give up in the first round. His best finish was the eleventh place finish at the Italian Grand Prix in Monza.

At the end of the year he finished seventh in the Grand Prix of Modena and ninth at the AVUS race in Berlin.
