Eitelborn
Eitelborn is a municipality in the Westerwald district in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Montabaur. Eitelborn is a nationally recognized tourist.

Geographical location
The community lies in the Westerwald between Koblenz, Hatton of Hausen, Montabaur and Bad Ems. Neighboring communities Kadenbach in the north, the east and Arzbach Neuhäusel in the northwest. Located north of Kadenbach Eitel Borner forest belongs to the district.
To Eitelborn includes the living spaces on the hour Stone, Denzerheide, forest house Eitelborn and oil mill.
History
Eitelborn 1377 was mentioned for the first time in a document.
1967 Augst community Eitelborn was named as " the most beautiful village ".

Parish council
The local council in Eitelborn consists of 16 council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 a proportional representation, and the honorary mayor as chairman. In the previous election period from 2004 to 2009 the council consisted of 20 members.

Coat of arms
Explanation: The three green lilies are from the coat of arms of the Lords von Helfenstein, the builders of the Sporkenburg. The golden castle curtain wall shows the still existing architecture. The fountain stylized existing until 1950 at the Old Town Square village well.
