Ejby, Lejre Municipality

Ejby is Bramsnæs, the lower part of Hornsherred Peninsula, the land between the fjords on the Danish island of Zealand. The city Holbæk lies in the west, about 12 km away. The region at the end of Isefjordes belongs to Roskilde Amt and is influenced by farming and fishing villages.

In Bramsnæs you will find a variety of megalithic tombs, five of which are located in and around Ejby. There are two dolmens ( Dyssen ) and four passage graves ( Jættestuen ). A passage grave (No. 312 538 ) is located at Åvej near the Ejby Å with a stone box ( Light Box ) in the common hill. The hill has 20 m diameter and 2.5 m high. The passage grave has 17 supporting stones and two received capstones. The course consists of three pairs carrying stone, but has only one capstone and the threshold stone. The 2.25 × 0.9 m wide Final Neolithic stone box with three capstones is located on the hill edge.

The second plant is also close to Ejby Å in a smaller hill. Your chamber measuring 6.0 × 2.0 m. 14 stones supporting a capstone and six supporting pairs of tiles of the hall have been preserved.
