Ekaterina Vasilieva (figure skater)
Yekaterina Vasilyeva Sergejewna (Russian Екатерина Сергеевна Васильева, born September 9, 1986 in Leningrad) is a Russian figure skater who starts in pair skating.
At the age of five years Vasilyeva began ice skating. She started for Jubileini, St. Petersburg. By 2005, Vasilyeva was individual runner.
From 2005 Vasilyeva was temporarily 's partner Alexander Smirnov. With him it was 2006, both 6 at the Junior World Championship and sixth at the Russian Championships. In the same year they won the Russian Junior Championships. They trained at Ludmila and Nikolai Welikow
From July 2007 to the end of the season 2007/ 08 she ran with the German Daniel turnaround. Together, they were third in the German Championship in 2008. However, the couple separated after only one season because Wassiljewas visa was not renewed. Since then she runs again for Russia, her new partner is Anton Tokarev
