El Café Chorale
The Café Chorale is a choir was established in 1994 in Costa Rica. Its members are sangesinteressierte students and professionals from the center of Costa Rica.
The choir is engaged in the distribution and the exploration of diverse vocal literature from the Renaissance to contemporary music of the 20th century and especially with the preservation of a collection in Latin America incurred music. Because of his work in this area, the choir has been awarded nationally and internationally, including in 1999, 2003 and 2007, the National Prize of Music in Costa Rica.
Choir director is David Ramírez, who studied at the University of California in Los Angeles. He is now professor of choral conducting at the National University in Costa Rica, where he teaches courses on vocals research.
