El Dedo de Dios

Dedo de Dios ( God's finger ) was a rock formation on the island of Gran Canaria, close to the fishing village of Puerto de las Nieves. She was named by the Canarian writer Domingo Doreste, who thought that about 30 meters high rock formation symbolizing a hand with a raised admonitory finger. Since then, was the Finger of God ' as a symbol of Gran Canaria. The Dedo de Dios was demolished by the tropical storm " Delta " on 29 November 2005.
