El Hamma

El Hamma (Arabic الحامة, DMG al - Hama ), and El Hamma de l' Arad, is an oasis town in southern Tunisia. It is located in the province of Gabes and has about 35,000 inhabitants. The village name comes from Hamma for Bad and results from natural artesian source outlets in their area.

Location and population

The urban village was formed from the original five individual village and garden-like individual settlements. These are Bechima (1870 invested ), Bou Attouche, Debdaba, El Ksar and Sembat.
