El Punt

El Punt is a Catalan daily. It appears almost nationwide in ten regional editions and is the Catalan- hand with the highest circulation. The publication of the newspaper is based on a participation model with correspondents in all parts of the country.

The newspaper was founded on February 24, 1979 in Girona. Until 1990 it bore the name of Punt Diari. For thirty years of the sheet on 24 February 2009, the online version of El Punt went into the net.

With effect from 31 July 2011 merged with the daily newspaper El Punt Avui the highest circulation Catalan daily El Punt Avui.
