El Rey del Mundo (cigar)

The El Rey del Mundo cigar brand ( German: The king of the world) is one of the oldest and most famous cigar brands from Cuba.

History

The brand was founded in 1882 by Ramón Allones, who wanted to expand its range to include a tip cigar. It was the successor to the King since 1842, produced by the German businessman Emilio Ohmstedt of the World and a long time the most expensive Cuban cigar. Cigars El Rey del Mundo are long filler premium cigars from mild to medium flavor. The brand is in Cuban state-owned, there is yet another cigar of the same name produced in Honduras.
