Elaiza

Elaiza [ ɛlai ː za] is ​​a German musicians trio from Berlin. The band's name is based on the short form of the name of the lead singer Elżbieta Steinmetz, whose Polish- Ukrainian background shapes the sound of her folk-pop songs. The band will represent Germany at the Euro Vision Song Contest 2014 ( ESC) in the Danish Copenhagen on 10 May 2014.

Band History

Elżbieta " Ela " Steinmetz, the daughter of a Polish and a Ukrainian, moved to Germany at the age of eight years. At age 16, she began to work in the Valicon studios in Berlin as a singer-songwriter. There, in the recording studio, she met the accordionist Yvonne Grünwald know. At an event Grünwald discovered a photo of Natalie Plöger with her bass, and Plöger was dazugeholt. Elaiza competed with the song Is It Right for the German preliminary decision to Euro Vision Song Contest 2014, performed at the so-called club concert in Edelfettwerk in Hamburg.
