Elcat Electric Vehicles was a Finnish manufacturer of automobiles.

Company History

Elcat Oy of Helsinki undertook with electric cars since 1975 attempts. The company founded in 1985 in Järvenpää Elcat Electric Vehicles. In the year, the development began, and 1990, the production of automobiles. The brand name was Elcat. In 2002 the production. In total, over 200 units were built. The main customer was the Finnish Post.

Rolling stock

The vehicles it was electric cars. The production took place in collaboration with Subaru. Most vehicles were small van based on the Subaru Sambar. For the model Cityvan 202 90 km / h top speed and 80 km range ( in the city ) are indicated.
