Eldorado Department

The Department Eldorado is located in the northwest of the province of Misiones in northeast Argentina and is one of 17 administrative units in the province.

It is bordered to the north by the department of Iguazú, on the east by the departments General Manuel Belgrano and San Pedro, in the south of the department of Monte Carlo and to the west by Paraguay.

The capital of the department of the same name is Eldorado Eldorado.

Population

According to estimates by the INDEC, the population increased from 67 726 inhabitants (2001) to 84 131 inhabitants in 2005.
