Eleanor Lambert

Eleanor Lambert ( born August 10, 1903 in Crawfordsville, Indiana; † 7 October 2003 in Manhattan) was an American fashion journalist.

It was considered the last Empress of America and was feared for their ratings in its 1940 International Best Dressed List created. Lambert, the daughter of a circus masters of ceremonies, worked laboriously to public relations woman high and promoted fashion designers like Bill Blass and Oscar de la Renta. During World War II, she organized the first fashion week in New York and so proved the quality of American design. By the closing Lambert invited to her apartment.
