Eleanor Matsuura

Eleanor Matsuura (* in Tokyo, Japan) is a British actress.

Life and career

Eleanor Matsuura was born in the Japanese capital Tokyo, the daughter of a British and Japanese each parent. She grew up in London, where she completed her acting training in 2004 at the prestigious Central School of Speech and Drama. Eleanor Matsuura had in the aftermath engagements at the Royal Court Theatre, the Old Vic Theatre and other theaters in London's West End theater district. Her debut in front of the camera she gave in 2005 in an episode role of Hustle - dishonesty is the best policy. She is seen in a variety of roles in television series such as Episode Eastenders, Doctor Who or FM. In German-speaking countries it has become known for her role as DI Zoe Larson in the 2009 crime film resulting hunt for a murderer (Hunter ) on the side of Hugh Bonneville.

Eleanor Matsuura is involved in her private life for animal welfare and works closely with the Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, the oldest and most famous British shelter together. It has a modern dance training and speaks her native language English nor standard Japanese.
