Electronica (trade fair)
Electronica is a trade fair for the electronics industry. Exhibitors will present components, systems, applications and services in the industry.
About the fair
The electronica is already organized by Messe München International since 1964 ( alternating with the Productronica ) every other year in November on the grounds of the New Munich Trade Fair Centre. 2012 took electronica from 13 to 16 November.
With a gross exhibition area of over 142,000 m², 2,669 exhibitors from 49 countries and more than 72,000 visitors (figures for 2012) electronica is one of the largest trade fairs in Munich and at the international trade fairs in the electronics industry. The proportion of trade visitors at electronica is 99 percent. The next electronica takes place 11 to 14 November 2014.
The fair is aimed at international manufacturers and service providers in the areas of development, quality control, maintenance and repair of electronic assemblies, equipment and machinery. The visitors are mainly electronics and software developers and designers of electronic circuits and products as well as managers and staff from sales, purchasing and research.

Electronica automotive and electronica embedded
With the special areas " electronica automotive " and " electronica embedded " sets the electronica additional focus in the automotive and automotive electronics as well as in the areas of embedded hardware and software. Apart from the actual exhibition area at the fair electronica organized to the "automotive forum ," the " electronica automotive conference " and the " embedded Forum " as an additional event platforms for visitors and exhibitors. 2012 also found the first " embedded platforms conference " instead. The conference is aimed at embedded system engineers who can find out about the selection of appropriate platform for them.
More conferences and forums
An extensive program accompanies the exhibition. In addition to the above forums and conferences in the areas of automotive and automotive electronics and embedded hardware and software, this also includes the following events:
- " Wireless Congress " The Congress is aimed at developers, system designers, technology decision makers, project managers and authorities in the field of wireless systems and is organized by the electronica in cooperation with the Weka professional media GmbH and the ZVEI.
- " Electronica Forum ": In the electronica Forum the Fair will be held during the four days of the event electronica lectures and discussions on various current industry topics. The spectrum ranges from new technologies and market developments, to cross-cutting issues such as education and training opportunities.
- "PCB & Components Marketplace": The PCB & Components Marketplace is a forum for presentations and discussions about PCBs, other circuit carriers and EMS.
- "CEO Roundtable": The panel discussion of international managing director and CEO focuses on current issues in the industry and is organized by Messe München GmbH.
In addition complements a large number of other panel discussions, lectures and conferences, the exhibition program.
Electronica world
In addition to electronica in Munich, Messe München International organizes other international trade fairs for the electronics industry abroad: electronicAsia in Hong Kong, electronica & Productronica China China in Shanghai and the electronica India & Productronica India ( alternately in Bangalore and New Delhi ).
