Electronika BK

When Elektronika BK -0010 (Russian Электроника БК -0010 ) is a series of home computers, which was created around 1983 in the Soviet Union.

BK -0010 based on the 16- bit microprocessor K1801WM1 ( К1801ВМ1 ) with a PDP -11 architecture. The computer architecture of several cabinets full, by the Digital Equipment Corporation PDP -11 built, one of the most successful minicomputer -seventies, found here the way into the desktop (similar to the TI990 and TI99 ). The BK -0010 has 32 KB RAM and 32 KB ROM. The ROM contains the operating system, an interpreter for the language FOCAL (Russian Фокал, of Engl. FORMULA CALCULATOR ), which was developed for the PDP - 6 from the Digital Equipment Corporation first. A BASIC interpreter was available as an add-on module.

The graphics controller K1801WP1 -037 ( К1801ВП1 -037 ) allows resolutions of 256 × 256 pixels with four colors and 512 x 256 pixels with two colors. 16 KB of RAM is used for video memory.

At interfaces are next to the video output on connector for a standard cassette recorder for data storage ( 1200 Bd), a serial RS- 232 interface ( with 50 Bd to 9600 Bd) as well as 16 input and 16 output lines available.

The computer and the keyboard with 92 keys and Cyrillic layout are together in a housing with dimensions of 37 cm × 18 cm × 7 cm (similar to C -64).
