Electrostatic units

ESU or esu is the abbreviation for electrostatic unit ( esu German electrostatic unit), and means that a unit is used in an electrostatic CGS unit system. esu is in invoices in cgs system just a placeholder for a concrete ( and sometimes difficult to be determined ) unit. In this case, the esu often enclosed in square brackets, not to be confused with an actual unit.
