Eleftheria Eleftheriou

Eleftheria Eleftheriou (Greek Ελευθερία Ελευθερίου, born May 12, 1989 in Paralimni ) known under the stage name Elle, is a Greek Cypriot singer. She represented Greece at the Euro Vision Song Contest 2012 (ESC ) in Baku.

Biography

Training and participation in "X Factor"

Eleftheria Eleftheriou was born in Cyprus and raised in Frenaros, Famagusta, on. Even as a child she was enthusiastic about the music and danced in front of the audience. In elementary school, a teacher discovered her talent, after which she received lessons in piano, music theory and harmony. At the age of 15 years Eleftheriou began taking singing lessons. Just one year later, she was a soloist in the orchestra of the RIK, the public service broadcaster of Cyprus. In 2006, Eleftheriou with the English ballad Play That Melody To Me on Cypriot preselection for the Euro Vision Song Contest in Athens in part. When victory by Annette Artani ( Why Angels Cry ) she took a seventh place in the final.

After the end of their schooling Eleftheriou studied in England music and performance at the University of Surrey. After returning to Cyprus, she tried unsuccessfully to establish himself as a solo artist, entered in vaudeville in appearance and played as a 18 -year-old season in Nicosia in the musical Ρεντ ( "Red" ) with. In autumn 2011, Eleftheriou switched from Sony Music to Universal Music Greece. In 2012 she took the book written by Dimitri Stassos, Mikaela Stenström and Dajana Lööf English pop song Aphrodisiac preliminary decision on the Greek part of the Euro Vision Song Contest in Baku ( Ellinikos Telikos 2012). Due to the financial crisis, the Greek government broadcasters ERT had reduced the qualifying round at a minimum cost and requested from various Greek music labels that receive the songs of the candidates themselves, produce and apply, and should be paid the travel and accommodation in Azerbaijan.
