Elena Vesnina
Jelena Sergejewna Wesnina (Russian: Елена Сергеевна Веснина; born August 1, 1986 in Lviv, Ukrainian SSR ) is a Russian tennis player.

Career
Wesnina began at the age of seven years with the tennis games. She prefers playing on clay and hard courts. In 2002, she first went in ITF tournaments at the start, in 2003, they celebrated their first two singles titles and three tournament victories in dual competitions.
In individual they've moved twice in Grand Slam tournaments, a first knockout round. For the first time she succeeded in 2006 at the Australian Open, where she failed to compatriot Nadia Petrova. At Wimbledon, she lost in the second round in 2009 against Elena Dementieva with 1:6, 3:6. In October 2009, they reached their highest position for a long time in the WTA world rankings with space 22; in June 2013, it was still a rank higher.
In double Wesnina won the 2005 with her partner Anastasia Rodionova the Bell Challenge in Quebec City. The following year she won at the side of the Moorilla Hobart International Jelena Lichowzewa in Hobart. In 2008 she won with her compatriot Dinara Safina in Indian Wells title. She repeated this success in 2011 with Sania Mirza, with whom she then shortly thereafter won the clay court tournament in Charleston.
Mixed In 2011 she moved to the side of Mahesh Bhupathi for the first time in the final of a Grand Slam tournament. In the final of Wimbledon, the two Jurgen Melzer and Iveta Benešová stood against, but which they lost 3:6 and 2:6. In Paris, she succeeded on the side of Makarova, then also the first title at a Grand Slam tournament. In the final of the French Open, she defeated the defending champion Sara Errani and Roberta Vinci in straight sets. In the WTA tournament in Eastbourne Wesnina then won her second individual title with a playoff victory over Jamie Hampton - her first title on grass.
On August 19, 2013, it reached into the double World Ranking 4, they still improved by one place in February 2014. In the same month the prize money won by her at tennis tournaments skipped the 5 million dollar mark.
