Elena Yakovleva

Jelena Alexeyevna Yakovleva (Russian: Елена Алексеевна Яковлева, scientific transliteration Elena Alekseevna Jakovleva; born March 5, 1961 in Nowohrad - Wolynskyj ) is a Russian film and theater actress. She is a longtime member of the troupe of the Moscow Sovremennik Theatre. A great notoriety she gained in Russia with the main role in the film Perestroika Inter Girl ( Интердевочка ), in which she played a Leningrad prostitute who marries a foreigner to get away from home. Another well-known role she played in the movie Encore, Encore again ( Анкор, ещё анкор ). The early 2000s, she played a detective in the crime series Kamenskaja. It bears the title of People's Artist of Russia.
