Eleni Andriola

Elina Andriola; Greek Ελίνα Ανδριόλα, also Eleni Andriola; ( Born November 9, 1986 in Athens ) is a former Greek athlete of Rhythmic Gymnastics.

Life

Elina began at the age of eight years with the gymnastics and was between 2000 and 2008 in the Greek squad selection RG.

At its first Greek championship as a Senior in 2001 she was able to secure the same title and ousted the favored defending champion and Olympian Evmorfia Dona to second place. Also, in three of four individual events, she referred her opponent to second place. Only in the discipline tires they landed behind Dona to second place. With this success in the neck Elina prepared for their first World Cup, which she completed in the all around with the 21st place out of 131 participants individual gymnasts. Since two athletes of doping were transferred in retrospect, their rank was corrected to 19. A dream Andriola fulfilled the qualification for the Olympic Games 2004. At the domestic games, they reached the finals, finishing in ninth place. The following year, the Mediterranean Games were in Spain and Elina erturnte the bronze medal in the all around. Also for the 2008 Olympics she was able to qualify again but ended because of some uncertainties in their freestyle on the 21th rank. A little later she ended her active career in professional sports. Andriola is considered one of the most famous individual gymnasts Greek origin.
