Eleni Ioannou

Eleni Ioannou (Greek Ελένη Ιωάννου, born January 13, 1984 in Germany; † August 24, 2004 in Athens ) was a Greek judoka.

Ioannou was three times Greek champion and should compete at the Summer Olympic Games in Athens in the heavyweight division. On 6 August 2004 Ioannou jumped after a dispute with her boyfriend Giorgos Chrisostomides from the third floor of a residential building in Athens. Your partner plunged two days after Ioannous jump without serious consequences from the same window. Ioannou but died two weeks after her leap to her injuries.
