Elga Andersen

Elga Andersen ( born February 2, 1935 in Dortmund, † December 7, 1994 in New York City; native Helga hymen ) was a German actress and singer.

Life

Andersen attended from the age of six, a ballet school and went to her high school graduation 19 -year-old to Paris. There she worked as a model and found the attention of the tabloids, which she introduced as a lover of celebrities such as Gary Cooper and Prince Moulay Abdullah, brother of Hassan II.

Otto Preminger, she took over in 1958 for a small role in his film Bonjour Tristesse and gave her the stage name " Elga Andersen ." Her first starring role was in 1960 in Brazilian Rhapsody. She looked up in the 1970s as a seductive beauty in many predominantly European productions. Her most famous role was as Lisa Belgetti on the side of Steve McQueen in Le Mans.

In the 1960s, she also began to sing, and managed so well in the charts. Among other things, she sang the title song of The Guns of Navarone. She married in 1978 the U.S. millionaire Peter R. Gimbel and made the last time you talked about, as in 1981 along with her husband in a multi-million dollar project tried to salvage the vault of the Andrea Doria and to two documentaries for the U.S. American television brought out.
