Elgin City F.C.

Elgin City ( officially: Elgin City Football Club ) is a Scottish football club based in Elgin. The club plays in the Third Division, the fourth- highest division in Scottish football. The club was founded in 1893. Through a merger of two clubs in the Moray area Elgin City was born. Play their home games, the club from the Borough Briggs Stadium. Until 2000, Elgin played in the HighLand League, a league outside the Scottish Football League. In 2000, then was admitted to the Scottish Football League, as the 4th league was increased from 10 to 12 teams. Since then, it has not managed to Elgin in the 3rd League ascend.
