Elias Harris

Elias John Michael Harris ( born July 6, 1989 in Speyer, Rhineland -Palatinate ) is a German professional basketball player. He changed on December 12, 2013 the Los Angeles D- Fenders to the Brose Baskets Bamberg and already played several games for the German national basketball team.

Career

The 2.03 m wide and 108 -pound Harris began his basketball career at SG TV Durkheim / BI Speyer and thus also played for the youth teams of basketball boarding Speyer. The Harris regarded as a great talent managed by good performances also the leap into the first team, for which he was initially active in the 1st Regional. In the 2006/07 season he was even taken as a double license player in the squad of the BG Karlsruhe in the top division basketball league, but not used in any game. On July 26, 2013 Harris finally signed a two -year contract with the Lakers. The Lakers, however, Harris could not enforce final and came just two brief appearances in the NBA who remained without points. The Lakers, therefore, decided to let them play D- Fenders of the NBA Development League for the Harris farm team Los Angeles. In late November 2013, the Lakers finally parted from Harris.

On December 12, 2013 Harris signed with the Brose Baskets Bamberg a two-year deal with opt-out clause for the NBA next summer.
