Elias Karam

Elias Karam (Arabic الياس كرم; * 1960 in Hassake ) is a Syrian solo singer from the government of al -Hasakah with Assyrian ancestry. He composes since 1982 oriental music, dancing the dabke, and is a musician of the Syrian Arab Tarab.

Life

Elias studied the oud playing from his father, and was inspired at an early age of Wadih El Safi, which helped him to write at the age of 16 his first song. With entry into the professional age of 20 Elias began to compose music. His most famous song is Tarab ' Amari, Tarab ya kalbi and Koullon ' anak saalouni. Elias toured throughout the Arab world, in Canada, the United States and in a number of European countries. He also appeared in several television programs Syria.
