Elias Tcherikower

Tcherikower Elias ( Ilya Cerikover; * 1881 in Poltava, † 1943) was a living historian in Paris, was his life's work the study of anti-Semitism in Ukraine.

He was one of the founders of the Jewish Scientific Institute YIVO.

According Semen Dubnov he finished in 1935 a detailed study of the various versions of the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, entitled Les ' protocoles ', leur origine et leur diffusion, but remained unpublished. There should be a copy in the Vienna library.

His archive was rescued in 1940 from France to the U.S. and is now in the Yiddish Scientific Institute ( YIVO ) in New York.
