Eligijus Masiulis

Eligijus Masiulis (* October 15, 1974 in Klaipėda, Lithuania) is a Lithuanian politician, Member of the Seimas and the Government of Lithuania, former Lithuanian Minister of Transport.

Biography

After graduation in 1992 at the middle school Smelte Klaipėda Eligijus Masiulis graduated from 1993 to 1999, a bachelor's and master's degree in political science at the University of Klaipeda. From 1998 to 2000 he was an advisor to the then mayor of Klaipėda, Eugenijus Gentvilas. From 1997 to 1998 and from 2000 to 2002 he was a member of the city council of the city of Klaipeda. From 2000 to 2004 and since the autumn of 2008 he is a member of the Seimas. He was Transport Minister 2008 to 2012.

Since February 2008 he has been chairman of the party Lietuvos Respublikos liberalų Sąjūdis.

Eligijus Masiulis is married and has two children.
